The Sonshine Express' first Sunday out for the year was April 9th, 2011. Our attendance on the bus up to this point is: April 9 - 16 kids April 16 - 26 kids April 23 - 39 kids May 7 - Bus didn't go out May 14 - 31 kids May 21 - 23 kids May 28 - 43 kids June 4 - 38 kids
We've had 4 new people who have been finger printed and have had great background checks: Colleen Bell, Gloria Cunningham, Sheila Hill and Dale Crawford. We have wonderful drivers who act notly as drivers but are super helpers as well! At present the drivers are: Dale Crawford, Jim Walter, and Gene Kanagy. Gloria Cunningham is planning on driving soon.
The curriculum we are using is from Answers in Genesis (The Creation Museum). We are teaching the Seven C's of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross and Consummation. At
At this point, cookies have been provided by Joelyn Lanning and her mom, 84 year old Naomi Kreachbaum. Jean Smith of Cardington Methodist's food bank has been providing us with free Cheryl's cookies. In addition, we've served great bologna sandwiches that Karla Hobson provided. One Saturday we had delicious left over popcorn from Bob Cunningham who works at The Capital Theatre. Another Saturday, we served bananas and this last Saturday we had wonderful Peanut Butter/Jelly "pockets" which were made by Colleen Bell. We serve fruit punch as their beverage.

We're looking forward to taking The Bus to the fairgrounds for the 4th of July Celebration! If you would like to help that day, please let me know. My new and only phone number is 419-560-3178. Also, the Morrow County Fair is another service opportunity for The Bus. We also need teachers, helpers, clowns, puppeteers, guitar players, etc.
