Hoops For Him is our annual youth basketball program for boys and girls ages 5-10. We teach kids the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship while giving

- Players must be age 5-10 on March 1, 2020.
- Participants divided into 3 leagues each for boys and girls: 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, and 9-10 year olds.
- One practice per week during February (4 total). One game per week (6 total, Fri. eve or Sat.).
- Practice and Game schedules will be communicated to parents by the coaches after January 25 and before January 30.
- Before the final game, the teams will have an awards ceremony where each participant will receive a trophy and a Bible or devotional.
- All practices will take place at Gilead Christian School North Campus (see map below).
- All evaluations & games will take place at Gilead Friends Church (see map below).
$40 - one player $70 - two players $90 - three or more players
Any registrations received after January 11 at 12 pm will be charged a $10 late fee per player.

Bring participants in loose fitting clothes and tennis shoes. Bring payment if you
did not pay online. You only need to attend one of the two evaluation days.

Coaches Meeting
January 25, 10a-12p
Required meeting for all coaches.
Practices Begin
January 31
Practices held Monday through Friday evenings and Saturday.
Coach will determine practice day and time.
Each team practices once a week for 4 weeks.
NOTE: All practices at Gilead Christian School North Campus.
Games Begin
February 28 & 29
Each team plays once a weekend for 6 weeks, either on Friday night or during
the day on Saturday.

Do I have to register online?
Short Answer: Yes.
Long Answer: We would really like as many people as possible to fill out online registration ahead of time. For those with no access to a computer or the internet, you will be able to register in person on Evaluation Days.
Do I have to pay online?
No. We have provided this as a convenient option for many families. You may still register online and then pay in person at one of the two Evaluation Days by cash, check, card, or money order made out to "Gilead Friends Church."
What if I can't afford to pay?
Register online and then come to one of our two Evaluation Days and inquire at the desk about our scholarship program.
If we register online and pay online, can we skip Evaluation Day?
No. Evaluation Days are vital to our effort toward making this a fair and enjoyable program. We want to create even and competitive teams so all players have a great experience.
Do I need to come to both Evaluation Days?
No. You only need to bring your child to one of the two Evaluation Days.
What ages do you accept?
The birthday cut off is March 1, so your child must be age 5-10 on March 1, 2020.
Can I pick my child's coach or team?
You are welcome to request a coach. However, in an effort to create more even teams, not all requests can be fulfilled. Parents and close family members will be able to coach their children.
When will I know my child's schedule, coach, etc?
Sometime after January 25 and before January 30. Please do not call the office to inquire about teams or schedules until after January 30.
